Want to know more about who’s behind this site?  You’ve found the right page!

I’m Michelle, a stay at home mother to three little bundles of energy who constantly challenge my cleaning abilities.  <grin>

Until I had children, I never thought too much about the cleaners I used, other than to realize that they made my chest ache from the strong chemical smells.  Little did I realize back then that tear gas and agent orange can be created simply from common household cleaners!  But as a mama, I began to consider every part of my lifestyle and how it would affect my children.  This led me to seek out safer cleaning methods.

Over the years I’ve had numerous articles published on frugal, natural cleaning on sites including FrugalFun.com and AmityMama.com and have been featured in The Simple Times Newsletter (http://hometown.aol.com/dsimple/times.html) .  Recently I was contacted by staff writers from Real Simple to offer my suggestions on natural cleaning.  And with that, I’ve finally decided to leap into a website and share the things I’ve learned.

Natural, frugal cleaning isn’t just my list of what cleans what.  It’s an expression of my lifestyle and values.  Because I value my children and our health, what I choose to clean with matters.  Because I value our planet, what I choose to clean with matters.  And it sure doesn’t hurt to save a few dollars here and there along the way.  ;-)

As it grows this site will go beyond just cleaning and explore other areas including frugal cooking, organizing, and housekeeping.

With that, I invite you to grab a cup of coffee or tea and take some time to explore my site.  While you’re here, sign up for the newsletter, too, and then I can send you free tips each month!
